SOE Reformers Given Special Uniforms to Save Time During Investigations
SOE reformers now receive pre-labeled jumpsuits in a move aimed at expediting audits in the event of alleged financial losses.
JAKARTA — In an effort to increase efficiency and “streamline inevitable legal procedures,” officials announced today that all SOE restructuring executives will be issued pre-labelled jumpsuits and digital wristbands at the start of their contracts.
Officials say the move is designed to save prosecutors and auditors “precious time” once reform efforts begin to backfire publicly.
“We’re just trying to be proactive,” said spokesperson Budi Santoso. “Why waste valuable months retroactively building corruption cases when we know from history how this ends?”
The new uniforms, produced in a partnership with a major textile SOE, feature:
Machine-washable cotton-polyester blend
RFID tracking to assist with asset tracing
Pre-stitched nameplates with space for “Case File No.”
A convenient loop for holding resignation letters
Executives will also be given Digital Identity Wristbands, linked directly to the national audit system. These bands will glow red if the wearer is under preliminary investigation, amber during a full audit, and green when their restructuring efforts have been successfully blamed on someone else.
The wristbands were initially designed as corporate wellness trackers but were retooled after legal and cultural alignment workshops with several retired state auditors.
In response to questions about the optics of issuing uniforms before any wrongdoing has occurred, officials were quick to cite the 2025 BUMN Law, which introduced the Business Judgment Rule.
However, sources within the legal community privately referred to the rule as “an excellent theoretical concept” and “something we may use when the political climate supports it.”
In an internal memo leaked earlier this week, senior executives were reportedly advised to store copies of the Business Judgment Rule in a secure cloud folder labelled “For Future Reference – Use Only If Still Relevant.”
“The law is the law,” said one anonymous official. “But public outrage is its own jurisdiction.”
To help mitigate confusion, executives will also be provided with laminated flashcards to help distinguish between normal commercial loss and treasonous abuse of state authority.
“We considered ankle bracelets,” said Santoso, “but that felt too negative. We want this to feel empowering.”
All newly-appointed executives will be required to attend Audit Simulation Retreats in Puncak, where they will role-play the stages of a corruption probe in a controlled, wellness-focused environment.
Workshops will include:
How to Answer “Where Did the Money Go?”
Excel Forensics for Beginners
Blaming External Consultants 101
Public Apology Writing 101
Executives who successfully complete the retreat will receive a “Certificate of Plausible Deniability” signed by a former state prosecutor and an international PR strategist.
As of press time, applications for SOE restructuring roles remained open, although HR confirmed that the most common applicant question remains: “Does this come with diplomatic immunity?”
